But the relapse wasn’t good for everyone. As the heroes entered the forgotten land, Centaurus felt his anger rise to an unhealthy level. His effort to clean himself up had been nullified. His path of destruction took over his journey for the last time.

Shadow: Centaurus traveled all over the continent searching for his destiny, but he had no idea what his destiny held. I knew, but he didn’t. His travels had taken him far, but his tension drove him to places he could never dream of. He had become disgruntled and reckless. I knew that everything would end in disaster.

Centaurus and his group did what they could to help the people of the shadowed land, but the efforts were made shallow. Adversaries like none he had ever known before were waiting for his arrival. And all of them were ready to end his mission and his life.

Equuis: None of us were sure why we faced so much peril. All of us were innocent people thrust into damaging circumstances. All of us were outcasts to our societies. All of us were afraid of the future. But we pressed on until the very end. We pressed on until we reached our goal. We had no idea what was about to stand in our way.

Summoner: Hmm, me as an adversary? Let’s get something straight here. I was a test of his endurance. I enslaved the people of the land and made their minds into puppets to see what a hero could do. But I had no grudge against him or his friends. I was just an obstacle to see what he was made of. He shot me in the arse, so I knew he was made of some tough nails. But, the ones who put me in his path were out for greater blood. They were the ones who wanted to end his everything. I only meant to see if he could stand up against them.

The evil wizard’s test of endurance was just a glimmer of the battle that Centaurus had to face. He had already trekked halfway across the world. He already slew enough monsters and enemies to fill an entire city. He had even come to a point of reason in his own self-control. But as his efforts began to unravel under the weight of his trials, his guard finally dropped. And the timing couldn’t have been worse.

Shadow: They crossed the path of the Gohrahn leader and his supposed centaur prisoner. As it turned out, a nasty game had been played. But I knew who was pulling the strings. It was all about global domination. The missing centaur was not innocent. Anything that got in his way would have to fall. No matter who or what would become the victim. Centaurus had entered the harshest trap of his life. The revelation of who he was and where he came from was too much for him to handle. He dropped his guard.
